Dr. Carol Wang is a Taiwanese, has been living in Shanghai for 12 years. She had her PhD degree of Clinical Psychology in East China Normal University. Her major research is “The Impact of Mother’s Psychological Adjustment to the Family Function and School Adjustment of Taiwanese Children in Shanghai”. Dr. Wang was certified as a China-licensed Counselor in 2007. She is a clinical member of SIMHA (Shanghai International Mental Health Association) and has been an International EAP Instructor/Counselor of Workplace Options since 2015. She is one of the initiated certified trainers of “The Journey to Intimacy” course, and has traveled to many cities of China to lecture in building happy marriage and family relationships in various enterprises and groups, such as Bao Steel Corporate, Schneider, Eastman Chemical Company, TSMC, and China Eastern Airline, etc., cultivating a meaningful family value in the society.
Dr. Wang used to have a personal interview by ICS Spotlight TV program on the issue of family problems in China, and was also interviewed by the Beijing Journal of Marriage and Family in a special figure column. She had her Master degree of Mass-Communication in the University of Missouri in US. With her 12 years of home-schooling experience and professional psychological knowledge and training, she was invited to lecture parenting workshops in many places with welcome. Her parenting articles were published in many magazines such as Fashion Baby, Mommy Baby and Parents Online in a special column. In recent years, she was invited by the Global CEO to Shanghai Jiao tong University, Fudan University, Tongji University, East China Normal University and Shanghai International Studies University as a guest lecturer. She used to work in Shanghai Care Corner Counseling Center as a senior psychological counselor, and now is the director of family learning center in IMC Living Octave. She has one son and one daughter, who are both in college, and has married for 22 years. Her life goal with great enthusiasm is to combine mass media and psychology to strengthen marriage and family in promoting a harmonious society.
