Diana Edwards

Diana Edwards is a UK educated Psychotherapist who has practiced in Shanghai since 2005. She is qualified both as a psychotherapist and a supervisor in group therapy with Irvin Yalom’s persaonl signature by the Yalom Institute China (one of nine supervisors). She has 13 years of work experience in the field of psychotherapy; and there are at least 7000 practice hours so far. She has worked both with individuals and couples, especially for cross-cultural marriage as she’s married an Englishman and lived in U.K. with their two children for 16 years. She understands well how cultural challenging and coping strategies are experienced in different countries. She believes that giving the holding and safe environment is one of the main therapeutic factors for clients. Her therapeutic approach is focused on the client’s thought processes and way of being in the world and uses the Intergrative approach to help many kinds of problems including relationships, traumatized problems, suffering from anxiety and depression, and suicidal thoughts. She was the invited guest as a counseling psychologist by Shanghai TV channels; Participated the psychological support work at the 5.12 Sichuan Earthquake in 2008.
