Kan Zhang

SIMHA welcomes Kan Zhang to its student membership. Kan is now working at a general hospital in Shanghai as a medical  social worker practicing mainly on psychosocial assessment, care coordination, discharge planning, and conducting health-related research. Kan received his master degree of social work from Washington University in St. Louis in 2014. He had previous training and working experience on comprehensive geriatric healthcare programs with participants who have frail physical health or dementia and community-based mental health services with clients who have co-morbidity of severe mental illness and chemical dependency in the United States. Kan has a great passion and wants to continue his career on promoting health for the elderly with chronic conditions and mentally distress.
