Hi, I’m so glad that you’re here. Recognizing that you need a bit of extra help is often the biggest hurdle. Your courage to seek the life that you deserve is the spark we’ll use to grow your inner light together.
I work in English and Chinese languages with those seeking to reach their authentic self in within themselves, their relationships, and the world. Oftentimes this disconnect can present as anxiety, overwhelm, confusion, anger, and/or depression. Offered guidance comes from my professional training as a bilingual internationally qualified and registered mental health counselor, as well as breadth of personal experiences as a multicultural woman and mother who has navigated many life transitions herself.
In your journey, I seek to help you reveal, decipher, and redirect unhelpful thoughts, triggers, and behavioral patterns into healthier modes of living. I deeply believe in every person’s ability to achieve self-evolution in face of challenging transitions. My goal as your therapist is to help you access your inner strength to do so.
My clinical approaches are attachment-based, trauma-informed, and integrate mind-body awareness. I use a person-centered foundation, and may integrate evidence-based narrative, systemic, CBT and other therapeutic interventions when situationally and developmentally effective. For couples counseling, I also consider emotionally focused therapy and the Gottman Method. Rest assured that in our time together, the tools we use will always be uniquely designed for your specific needs.
Through my private practice Lightbox Counseling, sessions are available in-person in Shanghai’s French Concession area, or online through video calls. Sessions can be delivered in both English and Chinese. In addition, I offer discounts for clients who book weekly sessions as a monthly package. More information can be found on my website: www.lightboxcounseling.comÂ
As counseling is a very personal decision, I offer a free 15-minute commitment-free initial consultation to help clients get to know me and ask questions before moving forward. You are invited to directly book the initial consultation here (https://calendly.com/lightboxcounseling/free-intake-session-15-minutes). Getting you the right support is important to me, and I will be very happy to share other practitioner referrals to help find your best fit.
