Sandy Tien

Sandy Tien is a registered clinical psychologist from Taiwan. She also completed two years as an affiliate scholar in the Parent-Infant Psychotherapy program in Columbia University. She provides online therapy sessions for adults and children over 8 years old in post pandemic era.

She specializes in psychoeducational assessment and psychotherapy for children and adolescents with ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties, and emotional challenges. She uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy and Dynamic Psychotherapy to treat the mental disorders clients including anxiety, depression, emotional & behavioral difficulties, social skill, adjustment functioning, parent-child conflict, love and partner relationship, workplace adjustment, stress management.

She also helps many young women and middle-age adults go through family and relational issues. She uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family System therapy (IFS) to treat clients with traumatize experiences, and empowers her clients to breakthrough challenges and achieve self-growths.

Sandy has extensive experience in conducting parenting training, mental health education. She focuses on the dynamics around perinatal and attachment issues and relationships between parents and child, and emphasizes the importance to collaborate with family and school system. She has collaborated with international schools in Shanghai, providing personalized education program for students.
