Dr. Bojun Hu was born in Shanghai, China and immigrated to the United States at age nine. Since 2016, she has lived in China to deepen her ancestral roots.

Dr. Hu is a Clinical Psychologist, and completed her Masters and Doctorate at Fordham University in New York City. She completed her internship at MMHC/BIDMC Harvard Medical School and her post-doctoral training at Brandeis University. Additionally, she is experienced as a group therapist and a yoga teacher, and has worked extensively with integrative body-mind approaches to mental health. She provides clinical supervision to both individuals and groups and has taught clinical practice for a family medicine fellowship program.

Dr. Hu also facilitates awareness workshops for schools, NGOs and Corporates on topics such as acculturation, emotional regulation, stress management, and trauma.

Dr. Hu strives to make therapy accessible for everyone across socio-economic backgrounds, and her practice is LGBTQIA-friendly, bodily focused, and trauma-informed.

Services / Specialties: My specialty is body-oriented relational therapy tailored to individuals and groups. I see adults, teens and couples for the full range of mental health needs (mood disorders, psychiatric disorders, personality and identity development, marital/couple and parenting experiences, etc.). My therapeutic approaches pay specific attention to existential concerns, to how a person can be more authentic and creative in relationships with oneself and with others, and to the impact of cultural collective consciousness on the individual and the group. The varieties of groups I have offered include integrated bodily movement and verbal process group, international and diversity groups, and groups for survivors of sexual assault/abuse. I also offer clinical supervision for both individual and group psychotherapy.
