Ivy comes from a background of non-profits, community mental health, and private practice and holds an associate license from the State of New York. She is a relational psychodynamic therapist who works with people who face complex trauma, and who often struggle with depression, anxiety, somatic symptoms, and interpersonal difficulties in relation to these life experiences.

Ivy received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University, and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Mount Holyoke College. Trained in a psychodynamic approach, she also uses interventions from CBT and DBT, and is currently pursing more training in IFS and SE to better understand and work with complex PTSD.

Ivy provides therapy in Mandarin Chinese and English. In both China and the U.S., Ivy had experiences working with people from various cultural, socioeconomic, ethnic-racial, and gender backgrounds.
